Hi
Can anyone help
My autistic son receives independent living allowance(his mother gets it ) but I am still paying maintenance and he is 25(through a court order)
How do I stop paying it(my ex just uses it on herself)

hi,

so in the court order it states when child maintenance payments should stop?

normally payment stops when child stops getting child benefit, when they finish full-time education, e.g. A-levels.

If the court order states a date, then that's it. Where there are special needs, the courts can make a ruling on child maintenance that goes beyond the normal rules, and CMS can't override this, as far as I am aware.
