Dear Friends
I’m just find out about child maintenance conditions, have been told that when the child is with me I should not pay the mother the maintenance on those days. what are your view on this, do you think I could claim back the excess paid the past 5 years!!
Is this the UK?
There is a child maintenance calculator, which will show the payments that are required if you open a case with CMS, and that's a good guideline - if you are paying more than this, then you could open a case with them (costs £20 as a one off fee) and pay only that amount.
Anything before this you can do nothing about, and there's no way you can claim this back, or offset against future payments.
