Hi - looking for some advice on the above topic.
I am a Dad to two boys (10 & 7) who live with me three days a week.
I have been separated for 3 years and have an arrangement in place where we split child care costs, clubs costs and buy our own clothes.
Recently she has been making more money demands and demanding I foot childcare bills when I am working despite in the past this being a shared cost.
I find the Child Maintenance Calculator difficult to interpret.
I am a Retired Police Officer with a £22500 annual pension. I have also secured a £30K job.
Does my Police Pension get calculated in the reckoner?
I live alone whilst she has mover her new jockey into the property and have a combined salary of £85K.
I feel it might be less problematic if i use the calculator and give her a fixed amount per month and therefore stop her changing the agreement.
Its not that I don't want to pay my share, I just don't want to feel shafted.
Any advice appreciated..
Hi There,
I don't know too much about pensions do you get taxed on it?
If you do then I would say that it would form part of your calculation, if you don't then it shouldn't I would give CMS a call and ask them for advice, they get a bad press but I have always found them very helpful
