Hi
Can someone keep me right please. My daughter turns 18 in March she goes to college roughly 2 1/2 days spread over the week.
When should my payments stop ?or should I have stopped paying ages ago?
Csa is not involved I just want to know were I stand.
Many thanks
Hi there
Child maintenance stops at 16 unless the child is in full time non advanced education. Full time means over 12 hours a week and college is non advanced education. So it looks like you are still liable to pay maintenance. If she leaves college in July then payments will stop on the 1st of September. If she remains at college a further year or more then you need to keep paying until she leaves or she reaches the age of 20.
