If she won't accept them then I would say don't try and send them, buy them and keep hold of them for when you are able to see your child.

If you think you aren't going to be able to give them at all for a long time, then instead of buying a present, perhaps buy a premium bond or something similar, so that you don't end up with a lot of presents that she's grown out of.
