Back in 2010, Cafcass prepared a report for the Court regarding my son. The report was appalling and the Cafcass officer was described as lazy and inept by the Court.
I am currently being denied access to my son by his mother and this has resulted in returning to Court where another Cafcass report has been ordered. To my utter dismay, the same Cafcass officer has been assigned as in 2010.
Can I request a different Cafcass officer? If so, how do I go about it?
Thanks in advance for any advice, it will be gratefully received.
At the very least, I would go to the cafcass's officer's manager and point out what the court said last time - the fact that the court said this means that either side would be at liberty to dispute the cafcass officer's findings, so it becomes almost a waste of time.
Hi there
In line with what actd suggest - these exchanges may help! 😉

I would most certainly do as actd suggests and ask for an appointment to see the manager to discuss this situation. It's reasonable that you should be wary of having the same CAFCASS officer if they were critised openly by the court previously.
Best of luck
