my firsty court date is 17th feb , I had the call from cafcas recently and have received a very hopefull letter
they advised the court to reinstate previous contact arrangements as ther was no significant risk towards my child whilst she was in my care
they also advised me and the mother of my child to attend a separation class
now im no expert and I have got it in too my head that I wouldent get any sort of result on the first hearing , but after this letter from cafcass I cannot help but get excited thinkin all will be good ....
what does the letter hold by way of the judges decision ? is it final ? cant the judge decide to egnore it ? is there any thing the ex partners so;icotor could do to stop this goin g ahead ?
I am a litigant in person bear in mind so just very anxious and could really do with some help
cheers guys

Hi

The courts generally do take account of CAFCASS reports unless there is a good reason not to - it's difficult to predict the outcome as the judges can ultimately make whatever decision they think is suitable.

Have you read the guides to representing yourself at the tome of the legal eagle section - they might be worth a read before you go to court.
