[Solved] C2 Application Sent, starting to prepare need help!

I’ve stated before that I planned to make a C2 application and I indeed sent it off last Friday.

I’m really worried that the mother is going to go into the hearing and throw a load of rubbish at the magistrates like she did the first hearing. I had suspended contact for 3 months while cafcass did a section 7.

All this game back clear and the order was made which I’m happy with. This was broken a couple of weeks ago when mom called the police saying I’d hit her. Obviously I hadn’t and I was released with no further action. Not saw the little one since.

Is this likely to happy again when mom goes in and makes false allegations ? Or will the court see past her lies and enforce the order as she has no proof!!

Is there anything else I should do for when the hearing comes through so I can start to prepare nice and early ?

Thanks as ever!!

I have had confirmation that my application has been received. However they have said that it should be 5/6 weeks before I get my hearing as cafcass need to do safeguarding checks ?!?

Now I’m really worried as I don’t want a repeat of last time where contact was suspended for no reason!!

It can be incredibly frustrating, mine did a similar thing, when I applied to court she told me I could only see the kid in a contact center that coincidentally was closed for 4 weeks. You can't really control what she will do. Just try and be nice to her, if she stops you from seeing the child, all you can do is point that out during the hearing that your child must be extremely confused not understanding why he/she can't see dad anymore and that you are concerned the mother's behavior is having an adverse impact on the child.

I know exactly how it feels, how frustrating it is, and I think that's the best you can do for the time being.

Its a formality, a basic schedule 2 letter, where the cafcass officer will speak to you both by telephone and also check on police and social services history. You will have had one of these when you were in court for the existing order.
