Hello,
When you use the Child Maintenance Calculator - If you enter you have benefits (In a lot of cases i have read “War Disability Pension”) - Then the calculation won’t let you enter your earnings.
So, you could earn say £250 a week salary and because you are on benefits (War Pension in this case) you pay a flat rate of 7PW??? No way??
However, if you say you get no benefits (Which is not true) then it lets you add your salary and bills you accordingly? The calculator surely needs an extra bit in its process after you say you receive benefits saying something like "Additional income other than benefits"
Is it me, of is the process completely wrong - Most guys would be happy to earn £250 salary and get a war pension and pay a flat rate of £7PW but surly not?
Or do you do 2 calculations one with “yes” benefits and one with “No” Benefits? Heeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllp
Discuss please
Thanks, Darren3112
Hiya,
Anybody able to assist with this question?
Thanks Darren3112
Hi there
Sorry for the delay in responding.
I'm not all that conversant with the financial side of things, but having had a quick read of the CMS guidelines, it appears that being in receipt of a war pension qualifies you for the flat rate. Check out page 9 and 24
Hope that helps. All the best.
