I recently posted topic saying that now my case has closed and paid £2500 more than i should have. CSA sent me arrears totaling £9000. I sent a letter asking for a breakdown and they replied that i owed them £15000 on june 1996. Me and my ex partner were on holiday that month and did not separate till december that year. How could i build up arrears during that time?
It might be advisable to make an appointment with your MP providing all paperwork from the csa that you have...although with the looming general election you may have to wait until afterwards. Give their office a call and see what the lie of the land is currently with appointments.
The csa obviously have their facts wrong, maybe a letter to them pointing out that you weren't even separated at that time and ask them to look again.
Best of luck
