Had 1st hearing to see me kids went ok got letter from cafcass about meeting them for an hour but not sure what to expect its to do with the application concerning a child arrangements order. My ex has said aa lot of stuff about me which is not true does this mean I will see my kids soon not seen them now for 4 months. A Loving dad.
Hey mate, Cafcass will want to meet you to basically compile a report about you which they will submit to court, read my Guide to dealing with Cafcass do's and don'ts at the top of the legal eagle section as these people hold a lot of weight in court and the Judges really do listen to their recommendations so you want to do everything you can to get a good report.
It's completely normal for your ex to make up al sorts of allegations many Dad's on here have experienced this including myself, You can't do a lot about it but be wary in the early stages of proceedings the System doe's tend to believe everything the Ex comes out with so the more evidence you can get together to prove your innocence the better, I had a shocking report and it heavily favoured my ex and they believed every single lie which my ex told then whilst making me out to be a controlling abusive person based on no evidence what so ever then on the flip side I have heard of other Dads who have got good reports so I'd say go in with an open mind and check out that do's and dont's guide.
