Need help on the 13 th aug 2019 got a letter stating i owe £52,867.89 arrears ok 4 jan 2016 i have a letter from csa saying that the liability for maintenance is no longer in force for said child born 03 01 1996 so now 3 years later i now have a dedication order from my wages of 636.88 with the cms this leaves me with 1,000 to pay 750 rent 170 councill tax car 200 to get to work no money for food gas elec phone bills insurance am ln my wits end i have pay my way and do have some bank statments but not all she has had a check from me for 15000 from a house sale 13 years ago told cms ive never payed a penny ive had no contact with my son since 2005 and notthing form her for 4 years phoned cms with no help at all just want the money and get past around feel like its the end of the line for me am 60 next year with no hope in life my as well just give up my job end ot all

hi,

that amount is madness. if CMS are not helping you, then you should get in touch with local MP/Councillor.

Got to agree with Bill, I assume you've sent copy of the letter from CMS to them stating the end of the liability for maintenance and that they've ignored it. I would be contacting your local MP and seeing if they can ask the CMS to review the evidence you provide proving you shouldn't be liable for maintenance.

regarding the bank statements, go in and speak with your bank branch manager or representative, ask if they can provide you with your bank statements, i managed to get over 10yrs worth of mine when i disputed the old CSA back dated claims...i am going back around 10-12yrs ago though!
