After a twelve months battle and a lot of hoops , I have got one evening and every other sunday to see my son. The date of the final hearing is next week.
My dad dropped him off as usual last Sunday after we all had a great day. The following Tuesday evening I got a call from the police to say that an allegation of assault has been made that I had hit my son!! My probation officer has said that if the CPS charge me then he will not be able to keep me out of prison , as I am on licence.
I dont as yet know what evidence they have , but we did go to an adventure playground so he could easily have picked up a bruise or mark there . All I know for sure is that I have never hit him. I feel that my ex has reported this as she has failed in every other way to stop me from seeing him. If this goes the wrong way I will be locked up over xmas and will have to start all over again upon my release . How WRONG can this be ?
I'm sorry to hear this, it must have been hard to get to this point with contactonly to see it snatched away, and worse to lose your freedom.
I would have thought she would need proof of assault, beyond a bruise, for the police/cps to take it further. It's not unheard of for a hostile mother to use this kind of underhand tactic to get their own way....I guess you will have to wait and see what happens....sorry I can't be more helpful, good luck mate.
