Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.
Reporting a concern
It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.
The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

Well just thought I'd also share a happier event too!
On December 1st at 14:30 (must remeber that as I'd booked a car for my partner for 15:30 :} ) my partner and I will be getting married, it will be a very small event with just 10 people at the actual wedding including the 2 of us our parents and the 2 boys, we are then having a small evening reception of 40-50 people, then we have a couple of nights away before we both return to work.
We only decided on the date a few months ago but have been engaged for some time now.
We are planning our honeymoon for Egypt (see my other thread for the issues here) for August next year.
So yes there you go it can't all be plain sailing there has to be downs so that you can rise back up again!!!
Darren
Thats fantastic news...Congratulations to you both! 🙂
Congratulations to you both 🙂 🙂 🙂
While you are in court, you may also want a SIO to make sure your ex doesn't stop your son attending.
Congratulaions, its nice to read some happy news
Great news Darren - congratulations.
Congrats mate - hoping the two of you are very happy together.
Gooner
Well it all happened on Saturday, there were fears my son wouldn't come at all as his mum kept maintaining he didn't want to, but he did but went home at the end of the night.
The whole day was very relaxed we didn't follow many of the normal traditions at all, we stayed together the night before and most of the morning only leaving my now wife to get ready whilst I went on to the registry office with the 2 boys.
As I knew she would she looked stunning in a knee length Audrey Hepburn style dress, after the ceremony which just had very close family and friends (10 people in total including us) we went for a few drinks at a local hotel that we were staying at that evening before a small gathering of 50 for the evening party.
We have just got back from a night at Bovey Castle (feel free to Google it) which was amazing, very grand and we didn't fit in at all LOL
Back to work tomorrow and back down to earth!
Darren
Congratulations and the very best wishes for a long and happy future together! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Congratulations Darren, some well deserved happiness 😀
