I am Poppy Woolaston and I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Bristol. I am undertaking a piece of research for my dissertation about Female on Male Domestic Violence: The Barriers Male Victims Face in Seeking Support’. I would like to invite you to take part in my study.

I’m seeking participants who identify as male and have experienced domestic violence within a relationship with a female partner. This questionnaire will last 20-30 minutes and will aim to gather information on the types of abuse experienced and your experiences of reporting the abuse and seeking support.

Your responses to this questionnaire will be completely anonymous. You will not be asked any identifiable information and the link to the questionnaire will not be linked to a name or email address.

I hope that this study will improve understanding of the barriers and challenges that male victims face when seeking support. You should be aware that this research addresses the topic of domestic abuse, and there is a possibility that discussing related information may may be distressing. If you are affected by the content of the questionnaire, you can take a break at any time. You will also be provided with a list of organisations that you could approach for support.

Please contact me, Poppy Woolaston, for more information about this study.  My email address is tt22061@bristol.ac.uk.

This study has been approved on behalf of the School for Policy Studies Research ethics committee at the University of Bristol.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in my research.

Please note - I have received permission from DAD.info to make a post regarding my research
