Hi guys everything's going fine, hope your all ok!?
I'm due to do the 3 peak challenge for a cancer charity and I'm really looking forward to it BUT.... it falls right on when the girlfriend is due a rhesus negative injection 🙁 sad because of the injection girlfriend is scared and sad because it's an opertunity that I won't get to do for a while as it's through a friend at his work who are doing the climb, we have discussed this and her mum would be happy to go with her for the injection but yesterday my friend confirmed the climb was going ahead but now my girlfriend says she wants me with her, I dont want to sound nasty or stupid but is the injection a big thing?
Thanks
Then she text me saying "it's ok don't worry" before i could send anything back, so now iam worried! What would you do?
hmmm... this is tough one mate. I've been in similar situations before.
Is there anyway your girlfriend can re-schedule the date of her injection? If not, I'd say miss the climb and go with her. It's not just about getting an injection. If she's Rhesus negative it can have a big impact on the health of your baby (im sure you know all this though) so maybe it's more about being supportive and having someone with her to ask the questions she cant think of, or just having someone to discuss all the info with that she's been told at the appointment.
There'll always be other times to climb, this pregnancy will only happen once. Sorry, prob not the answer you wanted tho 😳
If she is having injections she is already rh neg i assume or she wouldnt be having the injections. I asked my wife about the injections and she said they are not a big deal just like going for a blood test. i would do the climb mate its a once in a lifetime thing and your gf will be having more than one injection anyway so u can always go next time
I'd say do the three peaks challenge if that's what you really want to do and it's for a good cause as well, but it is a tricky situation for you.
