Someone I have come across has written a Science Fiction novel (about 700 pages - quite a feat for his first book) and is giving it away free - it's the first of a trilogy so I suspect that as well as getting his name around, he's hoping you will buy the next books when they come out (I will, as having now read it, I think it's an excellent book).
I have it in electronic format, so if you are interested in a free copy to put on your kindle reader (probably other ways of reading it as well), then send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it to you with instructions how to get it on your device - all completely free.
