Sitting here with my eldest watching Gladiator - fantastic film and this has got me thinking as to what are my favourite three films of all time

So here goes

1. Has to be Star Wars - probably the very first one although I love Return of the Jedi (if only for Princess Leia dancing!)
2. Shawshank Redemption
3. Braveheart

However I also love the Wizard of Oz, Die Hard and Airplane

What are your favourite films

It's tricky, as films keep getting better and better, both in the storyline and in the quality of the production, so I'll list older films and new films

Older
1. Hopscotch - Walter Matthau and Glenda Jackson - a brilliant combination
2. Forbidden Planet - SciFi film that was way ahead of it's time
3. 2001

Modern
1. Inception
2. Chocolat
3. Indiana Jones (Original film)

Older flicks:

Original star wars trilogy
Tron
Braindead

Modern movies:

Hackers
Clerks
Mallrats

Best of the rest though, i cant leave these out...

Texas chainsaw massacre
War games
The matrix (sequels were dull as [censored] though)
High fidelity
Saw 1-5
Battle Royale
