I've been on the look out for games to play with my boys (7 & 5) - we've been ping quite well with super mario galaxy 2, where the second player is really simple controls. My youngest can even play the main character on hs own.
We've just got rayman origins for Christmas and the game play is awsome for all three of us at once. The game keeps us together, and gets us working as a team!
Btw -we have a wii!
Anyone else find similar group / kid friendly games?
Can't beat Mario Karts!
We played Bubble Bobble on the PS2 - brought back memories of my very mis-spent youth
The mario party games are always brilliant fun. It's like a on screen board games but with loads of fun mini games played during it. Easy to play but really good fun, even me and the wife enjoyed joining in.

Totally agree about Mario Cart - brilliant fun.
We have Mario Kart - and my 7yr old, & 10 yr old play that, really good.
For some bizarre reason my youngest can't get the hang of the steering wheel ;;) He can use the nunchuck and controller on Super Mario Galaxy or Rayman much better..
Rayman Origins is great. Rayman Legends the latest game is even better (it even contains the full Origins game as part of the package).
Cannot recommend it highly enough. It's been great bonding time for me and my son.
Anyone else play on Xbox One?
My all time fav is GTA San Andreas.
