Online study of Mums and Dads of infants aged 0-12 months or Mums- and Dads- to- be

We are looking for mums and dads who are either expecting a baby or have a baby aged up to 12 months to complete a questionnaire exploring their views on government proposals for mums and dads to be able to share the leave after a baby is born.

There have been a number of articles in the news lately surrounding this shared care idea instead of traditional maternity leave. The regulations are not yet clear but under this scheme fathers will probably be able to take up any remaining unpaid leave if their partner returns to work early, for up to a maximum of 6 months. Most likely, mothers will be required to take at least the first two weeks before the father is entitled to leave.

We are really interested in attitudes of parents towards these ideas - whether they will welcome it and what, if any, effect they feel it will have on their health and well being, relationship, their baby's health and the wider economy.
In particular - will this impact upon breastfeeding?

The study is run by Dr. Amy Brown at Swansea University and Dr Bronia Arnott at
Durham University

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a draw to win £30 of shopping
vouchers.

If you are interested in taking part in the study or would like to take a look
before deciding, please follow the link given below. If you would prefer a paper
copy please email Amy at a.e.brown@swansea.ac.uk

The questionnaire can be found here for mums
and here for dads.

Thank you for your time
