BBC Three is looking for couples who are expecting their first baby this summer.
We want to give first-time dads the opportunity to have a ‘hands-on’ role during the birth of their child.
This year marks the fiftieth anniversary since fathers were first allowed to step foot in the delivery room. So, fifty years on, this brand new BBC Three documentary series will look at getting Dad even more involved during the pregnancy, labour and delivery of your first child.
We are looking for Dads-to-be who, under the guidance of professional midwives, would be willing to roll up their sleeves and be trained up during the pregnancy to assist the delivery team at the birth.
Does the sound of your partner helping midwives to deliver your baby appeal to you?
A recent report by the Royal College of Midwives stresses how important it is for expectant fathers to be included in all aspects of maternity care and underlines the benefits for the whole family.
Could this be your partner’s chance to get more involved in the pregnancy and birth process - and get much closer to you and your baby?
