Good to see lots of other dads who still play video games! But when do you usually have time to play?
I play for about 30 minutes after the kids have gone to bed (though I`d love to play more 🙁 ). Any recommended family games?
Hi there
What are you playing?
Xbox - Playstation or Wii?
As for time - don't have much but need all the practice I can get in order to beat the kids!!
I guessed with a name like `super mario` you`d be someone who plays games (or at least did before kids came along)! I have Wii, and xbox360. Anything you`ve found that all the family can play?
With my partner being away (see my other posts) I have nothing BUT free time at the moment, and if i didnt fill that void with gaming/tv shows/gym I'd go crazy!
I am currently playing through Assassins Creed Brotherhood, its alot of fun, really enjoying it!
I have a PS3 that I tend to only play on a Tuesday evening as we have a 'Tuesday Night Club' on another forum that I visit, so that tends to be my night, tend to play for an hour or two then that's it.
We have a Wii that the kids use now and again to play bowling or Little Big Planet, and me and the other half have a couple of games on the PC that we play now and again inbetween studying.
Hi bobamam
My son gave me the name!! As for games if you haven't played mario karts then you have missed out!!
We also have a kinnect which is amazing especially the sports games
We also play FIFA 11 with us all on the same team - great fun and really funny when I get moaned at.
Fifa 11 can be proper funny, even more so when you're playing against a bunch of teenagers that think they're all that, giving out abuse down the microphones, only to quit when getting beat 😆
Personally I miss the N64 days 😥
What about the Commodore 64 - dont you miss waiting 20 minutes for the game to load only for the tape to run out!!!
Had some great games
Who remembers Chuckie Egg or Bubble Bobble perhaps the greatest games of all time!!!
I can just about remember the C64 days, with the old tape deck taking forever to load, playing with the old style joysticks. Can remember a management game I had for the C64 that required a code from the booklet that used to take forever to find 😆

Commodore 64 oh the memorys 😆 I used to love paperboy and who dares wins !!!
I generally get stuck into Halo Reach any evenings I get free. As this is pretty much the only half hour window I've got, Mollie's here for the end of summer so no games.
Anyway, My favourite wastes of company time are below for the old skool gamers:
http://www.zxspectrum.net/ <- Spectrum emu on browser
http://www.nescafeplay.com/main/ <- NES games in your browser.
Win.
And they have chuckie egg and bubble bobble - gonna waste the next few hours!!
I will post my high score!
