Good to see lots of other dads who still play video games! But when do you usually have time to play?

I play for about 30 minutes after the kids have gone to bed (though I`d love to play more 🙁 ). Any recommended family games?

Hi there

What are you playing?

Xbox - Playstation or Wii?

As for time - don't have much but need all the practice I can get in order to beat the kids!!

I guessed with a name like `super mario` you`d be someone who plays games (or at least did before kids came along)! I have Wii, and xbox360. Anything you`ve found that all the family can play?

With my partner being away (see my other posts) I have nothing BUT free time at the moment, and if i didnt fill that void with gaming/tv shows/gym I'd go crazy!

I am currently playing through Assassins Creed Brotherhood, its alot of fun, really enjoying it!

I have a PS3 that I tend to only play on a Tuesday evening as we have a 'Tuesday Night Club' on another forum that I visit, so that tends to be my night, tend to play for an hour or two then that's it.

We have a Wii that the kids use now and again to play bowling or Little Big Planet, and me and the other half have a couple of games on the PC that we play now and again inbetween studying.

Fifa 11 can be proper funny, even more so when you're playing against a bunch of teenagers that think they're all that, giving out abuse down the microphones, only to quit when getting beat 😆

Personally I miss the N64 days 😥

I can just about remember the C64 days, with the old tape deck taking forever to load, playing with the old style joysticks. Can remember a management game I had for the C64 that required a code from the booklet that used to take forever to find 😆

I generally get stuck into Halo Reach any evenings I get free. As this is pretty much the only half hour window I've got, Mollie's here for the end of summer so no games.

Anyway, My favourite wastes of company time are below for the old skool gamers:

http://www.zxspectrum.net/ <- Spectrum emu on browser
http://www.nescafeplay.com/main/ <- NES games in your browser.

Win.

Awesome. Me and my guitarist wasted about 4 hours and a few beers trying to get anywhere on the spiderman graphical text adventure once. It was an unmitigated disaster.

Sadly my 360 died so I've had to put Mass Effect on the back burner - finished both one and two, started playing with a... not so much evil as just incredibly focused character and the bleeding thing commited suicide with me only a single mission from the end of the first game!

Luckily the missus was also a gamer so she's agreed for us to buy a new box at Christmas which will give me time to get it all finished before the 3rd game is out in March \o/

To keep me going I started playing Minecraft... such a simple game, but the number of times I've seen it's suddenly 11pm and I've still got 15 jobs to do before bed you'd think I'd have learnt my lesson by now 😀

I like to play games at late night. My favorite list is bio hazard, angry birds and old one pacman.
pacman is my most favorite from school time.

The newish Pacman: Championship Edition is amazing (and addictive..so be careful if you start playing at night!)

I remember playing pacman in the pub on one of those glass table arcade machines - what great memories

I have also had the noise as a text message tone
