[Solved] What are you listening, watching or reading?
Right now I'm listening to Muse: Absolution.

now: Puddle of Mudd, Come clean
(really good background music while trying to be creative and write a paragraph for submission to 'them')
humph... just deleted the 'hates me' track - I'm uncomfortable with the F****** lyrics in it (this is a quote as opposed to me expressing my opinion about the lyrics).
Moved onto: Plaid, Spokes
[isn't anyone else submerged in music/video/paper??]
Don't have a vast number of tracks, and I generally only listed in the car when I'm on my own (that way I don't have people complaining about my taste in music, plus my car has a recently decent sound system) but it's wide ranging, from classical through to such things as Rhianna, Eminem, Coolia and Amy Whitehouse.
Just downloaded Exhibit 13 from Blue Man Group
Just been listening to new Adele album - absolutely superb although a little depressing!
Agreed. Adele is pretty good listening. My 13 yr old daughter wants the Tiny Tempah album. Any advice on that one?? I've never heard it.
Not surprised as he is very popular with my teenage son - however word of caution some of the language is tasty - nothing they wont have heard in the playground but just to be aware of.
Not my cup of tea but I do like the song "Higher" or is that because Kylie is in it!!!!
Just finished reading Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played With Fire - which was brilliant. Can't wait to read the last in the trilogy The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.
Also like Adele's 21 and Rihanna's Loud albums at the moment.
I am reading book one of the fantasy series the wheel of time. the book is called the eye of the world its by a author called Robert Jordan. its not bad a bit lord of the ring's ,i was recommend it by a neighbour he said book one is hard reading but the rest of them are good , so I am persisting with it .
Saw listened to the new album by Elbow - think I need to listen again as it is a bit heavy.
Think it will grow though
Adele - number 1 and 2 in the albums chart and three songs in the top 40 singles. That must be some kind of record!
Finished listening to K T Tunstall, Eye to the telescope... and Genesis, Trespass.
Now listening to second 'side' of Genesis, The lamb lies down on broadway.

My gym ipod is crammed full of 80s music - good job I wear leg warmers!!!
Some great tracks on it.
For those of a certain age tune into Absolute 80s on your DAB radio - it is fantastic listening especially in the evenings and weekends when other radio stations are poor!
I'm currently listening to loads of Tool, Slayer and Slipknot. Reading Slash' Autobiography / Microsoft 70-685 Exam prep book and a technical manual for the new Dell servers...
So which is the better read - slash or Microsoft because I have a book token and cant choose between the two!!!
I have the house to myself to tonight,
So I'm listening to: Fiddler on the roof
(I <3 the film)

I hear Mike and the Mechanics have a new album coming out - may have to have a listen to that!
Mike and the Mechanics, Fiddler on the Roof, 80's hits.........Wow.
I'm pretty much the exception to the rule. I'm knocking on 40 and pretty much don't listen to anything older than about 18 months. I never have done, I've always liked new music. My wife is pretty much the same with the exception of a couple of albums.
I don't want to sound like I'm one of these "try to be hip" oldies going to Raves with a walking stick and collapsing from the heat. I mean I like a nice cup of tea and a program on BBC4/Radio 4 as much as the next man. But how can anyone keep listening to the same music for 30 years?
Anyhoo. At the moment I'm pretty much listening to London Elekricity, Muffler, Sub Focus on the Drum and Bass front. For Dubstep I have been sticking to Skrillex (both his stuff and remixes) recently (but it is an acquired tase I admit), Magnetic Man, and some of the more Poppy stuff. (all rippable from Youtube btw). I listened to that Nero thing with the Royal Orchestra as well on Radio 1 but spent the whole thing wondering when the Dubstep would start. I also need to have a look into Drumstep apparently but haven't had time to do it yet. I can also recommend the Quality guitar noodling of Dan Arborise, and recently we went to see Elbow do their new album which is just gorgeous.
I should also state for the record I am not, and have never been a DJ. Or a muso nerd/snob.
I'm forty and have quite an eclectic taste in music. I listen to both oldies and new stuff. Been playing Jessie Jay to death on my ipod recently - loved the new elbow album
Though it has to be said I am also playing an awful lot of seasick steve at the moment as well.
Just finished watching 'Shadow Line' on BBC2 - brilliant UK mini series with lots of unexpected turns. I think it's still on Catch up, well worth seeing if you haven't watched it.
Just started to watch the Kennedy's first two episodes were great and looking forward to the rest of it
Just started listening to Bruno Mars album, doo wops and hooligans, it's pretty brilliant
I agree - fantastic album and some great singles to - love the latest one The Lazy Song
Super Mario - have you seen the video for that one? Think it's just one of the best i've seen. Just looks like a really great night in with your mates. 😀
Yeah it is really funny
For those that are behind the time watch it here

Brilliant song!
Watching: the Tour de France, of course, nothing else on is there? If you want to see a Briton do well at something, watch the next three days (ITV4 7-8), Cavendish should get at least two sprint finishes under his belt.
Reading: how to pass your 11+
Listening: have one of these dodgy compilations in the car £3 from Tesco "Rock n Roll Hits", or something. Currently, my 5 year old's favourite song ever is "Chantilly Lace". Mum passed him his dinner at the table the other day and he actually said "ooh baby, that's a what I like". Her eyes flicked straight to me as though I had something to do with it 🙂
