I have just got a tropical fish tank, 60x35x35cm, and am wondering what to do with it. Yes I know, put fish in it. 🙂
Im thinking sand substrate with live plants and maybe a few shrimps, cory catfish, neon tetras and 2 larger fish.
The 2 larger fish are so that our 2 girls can give them a name and be involved.
My question is, do you have any advice regards setting up such a tropical tank or the choices I have made so far regards substrate, planting or fish, in particular which species should I select for the 2 larger fish that I intend to get?
My hope is that fish are as much a stress relief as they say. 🙂
Regards,
Dave
Ok so that tank is set up with sand substrate a couple of rocks and Im soaking some bogwood to put in. The water is cycling for a week so that it is ready for the fish, whatever they may be.
Im going to test the water next week and add some plants, Amazon sword, Java fern and some sage grass and leave for a further week and then its fish time.
Im still thinking few shrimps, cory catfish, neon tetras and 2 larger fish.
My oldest wants an Angel fish which I read can be agressive. I was thinking Dwarf Gurami. Tank is 74L 60x35x35cm
Any fish heads on here that can advise regards suitable fish?
Regards,
Dave
