OK - It's quiz time. I put these together during the year, for family and friends at Xmas. They're supposed to be doable, over Christmas lunch ...so don't expect too much 🙂

easy peasy!
Try not to use Google, that'd make it too easy
...and don't post the answers, or you'll spoil it for others

3 A long long time ago
14 There must be some kind of way out of here
17 I never meant to cause you any sorrow
Thinking about it, there were thirteen people sat around at last years Xmas. You might need to get a few mates involved.
I'd just like to say, number 23 was the first single I ever bought - how cool is that !!!

All you need to do is work out the foursome in each case.
e.g.

Simple. There are 20 anagrams below. All related! If you have read any of my other posts, I will give you a clue that they are to do with something that I have shown an interest in on here. What you have to do is work out the anagram and then name that which the anagram is associated with.
e.g.
Q. This gay and hard
- A Hard Days Night (anagram of)
- The Beatles (associated with)

Now the boat can only carry one item at a time along with the man. How will he do it? Remember that the tiger will kill the goat if not attended by the man and the goat will eat the grass, if left alone.

One statement here is false.
Two statements here are false.
Three statements here are false.
8 What was the Prime minister’s name in name in 1975?
9 A 10 foot rope ladder hangs over the side of a boat with the bottom rung just touching the surface of the water. The rungs are 2 inches thick and 1 foot apart, and the tide is rising at the rate of 6 inches per hour. How long will it be until 3 rungs are covered?

19 How much mud is there in a hole: 1 foot deep x 1 yard long x 1 cubit wide?
20 What familiar word starts with IS, ends with AND, and has LA in the middle?
21 What do you sit on, sleep on, and brush your teeth with?

24 On the Isle of Man, you cannot take a photograph of a man with a wooden leg. Why not?
25 You are currently 3rd place in a race. What place are you in when you pass the person in 2nd place?
OK, here's my answers to some of them (highlight the post to see my answers clearly)
1. Jan, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov & Dec all have 30 days
2. a to b - take goat
b to a - empty
a to b - take tiger
b to a - take goat
a to b - leave goat, take grass
b to a - empty
a to b - take goat - now have all three across the river
3. Nigel (hope the girls was called George - John & Paul are strange names for a girl)
4. No time at all - wall has already been built
5. Take away two letters, F & E, leaves IV which are the roman numerals for 4.
8. David Cameron - hasn't changed his name as far as I know.
9. The rope ladder rises with the boat in the tide, so the ladder never gets covered at all.
10. the word is i-n-c-o-r-r-e-c-t-l-y
11. re-arranges to 'One word'
12. You can read it upside down and it says the same.
13. They were married, not single.
14. Mount Everest - it was still the highest even before it was discovered.
15. From Peahens - Peacocks are the males
17. You need to light the match first.
18. You still have 6 apples - but now in two places
OR
You have four apples, because that's how many you took.
19. The is no mud in it - if it had mud in it, then it wouldn't be a hole.
22. You can subtract it as many times as you want, but after 5 times, you will have a negative number.
OR
You can only take it away once because it only appears once in the number 25
23 - because the first is worth £1,983 and the second is worth £1,982
24 - you need to take pictures with a camera, not a wooden leg
25 - You'd be in second place
Well done actd ...not bad on round 4 - 18 & 22 are not the answers I have ...although I will concede that with this type of question there could sometimes be a few different answers. Nice idea, putting the answers in white, so they can't be seen ...maybe I'll start another thread with the answers to this one white'd out.
Now have you finished rounds 1 to 3 yet 🙂
Not been back to round 1, and somehow missed rounds 2 & 3 😮 Reckon I could get about half of them on round 2, but I'm hopeless at anagrams so no chance on round 3.
Now you mention it, I can see alternative answers to 18 & 22, so added alternatives into my answers. Tried to give the answers in the same colour as the background, but couldn't quite get it right - white was the one that showed up the least. 🙂
That's better actd ...18 is now correct and 22 is correct, but for the wrong reason ...I think that probably counts
Doh!! - typo in my alternative answer for 22 (now corrected), but if it's a different reason altogether, then I'm intrigued 🙂
