[Solved] Outdoor Home Security Camera Suggestion

My girlfriend and I have had our vehicles vandalized twice in the last 3 weeks. We're in our 30's, live in a nice enough neighborhood and do not have any enemies. This has prompted me to make the decision to purchase a security camera for the front of our house and I am hoping to get some recommendations.

This would be mounted outside so must be able to handle a variety of weather (we are in Eastern Canada), though it will likely by mounted under an eaves. Only the vehicle which is at times parked on the road ~40ft in front of our house is being vandalized. I would like 1080p recording. As for wired vs wireless I'm not sure what to go for. Ideally I would like something completely wireless but am unsure what battery life and recording is like on those. Open to suggestions on that feature. I'm also unsure of how night recording works on these, but would be an ideal feature as well.

If it can be avoided I'm not looking to spend more than $200 CDN on the single camera. Maybe that is too little I'm not sure. There is wiggle room in that budget if need be and I would be getting something of good quality for a reasonable increase in price.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi,

Theres lot of good deals on ebay/amazon. Bought one that would be around 90-100 CAD

HD recording. Waterproof. Can use wireless or LAN. Option to record onto SD card. Would recommend you read reviews before buying. Just drilling hole through front wall for cabling is bit of a task.
