Hi all following the fantasy world cup, a good bit of fun.
Would like to propose a dadtalk mini league for fantasy premiership football (as suggested by Goonerplum)
For those that created a fantasy team previously at www.metro.co.uk you can just login again and create, or if not just sign up to be able to create a team.
I am planning on setting up a mini league which will require £2 to join (winner takes all), with a request that the winner of the league give their winnings to their nominated Charity of choice.
Hopefully the adage of "if you make, they will come" will hold true 🙂
The payment will actually be £2.20 as the Metro site charges a 10% fee.
My chosen charity is McMillan Cancer Support - www.mcmillan.org.uk
I will post back tomorrow with details of the league 🙂
You've been waiting and here it is 🙂
Join up at www.metro.co.uk .
Go to Fantasy Football, create a team, sign up and then join the mini league "Tower Power", league pin: 8002711
£2.00 for entry
State your charity of choice please 🙂
Good luck!
Did this ever take off? Is it happening?
OK I have set up a DadTalk mini league.
Join up at www.metro.co.uk .
Go to Fantasy Football, create a team, sign up and then join the mini league "DadTalk", league pin: 8006934
No cost to join - just a bit of fun and no credit card details to fill in.

Cool! I've joined "Midnight Cowboys" ...and if my world cup predictions are anything to go by, I expect I'll soon be ...um ...firmly in the top ten ...or so.
I'm there as well - cool
gutted that I missed the WC one.
gonna kick some bottom with my team 😆
we'll see N4N we'll see
hmmm ...second from bottom ...and 46,724th place overall ...that didn't go as planned! I've never fantasized over football before. I particularly like the idea that my goalkeeper was so bad, I'd have scored more points simply by not having any goal keeper at all; boy, that must make him feel good 🙂 .
OK - for a bit of fun, I have also entered an England squad, based on their first week's performances. Rooney hasn't made the first 11 and poor old Theo hasn't even made the bench ...yet!
Hart - Terry - Cole - Jagielka - Richards - Lampard - Gerrard - Milner (C) - Downing - Bent - Carroll
(Subs: Green, Gibbs, Albrighton, Rooney)
They are too late to get points this week; but I have worked out that, if they did, they would have got 727 ...hindsight is a wonderful thing, eh! Watch yer backs guys 😀
Here are the standings so far -
1 Dadtalk-co-uk-Ron 1882
2 DadTalk Lightweights 1826
3 Norfolk Normals 1812
4 Midnight Cowboys 1798
5 Gooners Goners 1725
6 Kingstonian FC 1709
7 Give it a shot 1303
8 England 1204
Very close near the top with a few lagging behind. Still early days of course.
Currently I am considering my being in the lead as a fluke...... However, i do feel its important to say :
you're not singing, you're not singing, you're not singing anymore..... anymore..... you're not singing anymore
Boys. Boys. What can I say... Like Chelsea u might as well give me the league now and play for second, third and fourth....
Anyone for European FF ?
Ron
1 Dadtalk-co-uk-Ron 2481
2 DadTalk Lightweights 2176
3 Midnight Cowboys 2173
4 Gooners Goners 2076
5 Norfolk Normals 2074
6 Kingstonian FC 2013
7 Give it a shot 1683
8 England 1594
Here is the latest table of team standings and yes Ron it is far too early to get cocky - long long time left to go.
