I've decided to upload a build thread of the radio flyer I bought for my 10 month old son Theo.
I started with a second hand 93b pull cart with built in seatbelt and backrest.
It had a small amount of rust and damage to the handle,
I started by removing the wheels, handle, and axles.
Using some U-shaped aluminium and some valve springs I had lying around, I built up a basic suspension setup for the rear wheels.
Added a strut brace for rigidity
With some help from a friend, we designed a dropped front axle to stance it like a hot rod. Just millimetres from the ground!
Assembling the steering mechanism (originally made from cardboard to test)
Mock up assembly to check everything fits before painting.
The original handle was straightened, and then sand blasted to remove surface rust.
After paint; Really happy with the satin finish on the old and new parts.

Hi There,

That is some great work, looks like Theo loves it, though I suspect that the project was as much for you as him :p
