Hi all
Scrabble is changing it's rules - from July you will be allowed to use Proper Nouns and names of famous people! So you will be able to play words such as "Jedward" or "Beyonce" - this is to encourage young people to take up the game.
I have played scrabble for many years and think this is really sad that they are doing this but can see why.
What do you think? Do you play? and if so what great words could you now play?
I agree Super Mario
I think they should leave a great game alone, I remember many a game with my family that resulted in me learning new words ( and yes I was a child at the time !) 😆
It's a fun way to improve a child's vocabulary without them knowing.
mags
That's a bad move - what next, textspeak? 😡
Or abbreviations and Acronyms
