[Solved] Best way to sell my 10 year old Sony camcorder?

Hi Folks

I bought a brand new Sony camcorder about 10 years ago. I am now thinking of selling it and buying a more modern small compatible camcorder.

Can you suggest what websites I could use in order to sell it? Do you think I could part exchange it when buying a new one from one of the major retailers such as Curry or Dixons?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Ebay is the obvious choice, but to be honest, anything that old with a tape will probably be worth peanuts these days considering that it would probably compare poorly with a modern £50 camera taking video.

It might be considered an antique - could be valuable 😉

I would check out ebay and see what the same camera is going for and then see if the stores part exchange would be better or worse.

Ebay is definitely worth a look - search for the item to see how much they sell for.

You may get lucky and get a good price

Other options could be an old camera shop - at least you'll get an idea of the price
