[Solved] What do you Collect?

Hi everyone πŸ™‚

I collect beautiful glass and Moorcroft pottery! Pretty boring you might think but I take great pleasure from having my pieces on display. The Moorcroft I have is my pension pot and some pieces are valued in thousands. The glass is more of a love thing for me, maybe its because it sparkles...a bit like diamonds! 8)

Recently my 5yr old grandson has taken an interest in my "treasures" so I gave him a small crystal paperweight in the shape of a kitten, I showed him the etched signature at the bottom and told him about leaving the label on. He listened avidly and took the paperweight home to put on the sideboard...another collector in the making!! πŸ™‚

So what do you collect and do you have any special or unique pieces in your collection?

I collect watches...

Though in more recent years I haven't got any new ones, My collection range from accurist to Omega. I have a Tag Huer but most are Rotary. My grandmother died a few years ago so I picked up a Moto GP special edition Tisso watch with the money I was left as something to keep. But I've found I only wear one of the 15 watches I have, which is my Omega Seamaster. A watch I wanted for around 7 years before I managed to buy one. When ever I wear a different one I miss wearing the Omege, I know this sounds strange but hey thats me

I nearly bought an Omega as an investment, it was a limited edition in gold and diamonds.... the guy wanted Β£10,000 for it which was a steal..but I changed my mind!

I have a Rolex with little diamonds where the numbers should be...I love it! But I'd really love a gold one, there was one at a pawnbrokers in Chester that I had my eye on for ages, dropped all sorts of hints, but to no avail! πŸ˜€ Maybe if I win the lottery!

If you could have any watch you wanted, what would it be?

My Omega, I wanted it for so long.

It was my gift/reward to myself a about 4 years ago after I set myself a very difficult target of loosing 3 stone in 3 months, I completed it 2 weeks early so splashed out.

Being a salesman though I didn't pay full retail for it though as I worked hard on the sales guy to get a very good discount of the retail cost. Anyone who doesn't ask in a retail shop for discount when paying for an expensive item is loosing out, I saved nearly Β£600 off the cost.

πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜† I take it you've stopped that particular collection now!

I think photography is a really interesting hobby...and I know that some cameras are worth a fortune!
