[Solved] So, errr, Glen Johnson??

Now before I rant, I'm a Leicester fan, so playing well and winning is a bit of an alien concept to me.....

I presume most of you watched England last night? It was a bit depressing really. I am normally an ardent fan and even in the world cup I thought Fabio came in for a bit too much criticism and so did the players to a certain extent, lets be honest against Germany we should have been 2-2 and then we were caught twice on the break......(obviously the group stage was a bit of a shocker)

The main culprits last night were Johnson, Barry, ROONEY (again)

Rooney needs to do something, no idea what, but he needs to do something. Maybe a break, maybe even a few games in the reserves I dunno.

Barry was just poor, I rate him but last night he lacked any cutting edge.

Now then, Glen Johnson, I actually do think he's a really really good player, definitely good enough to play for England, but in some games, he just seems a bit thick. he was dreadful last night, must have been the worst passer on the pitch by a mile. Anyone else having that kind of game, you'd think would try and cut out the tricks and dribbling and stick to the defending, but no. Even in the 91st minute with our last possible chance, he gave the ball away with a stupid flick on the half way line.

I'll stop now, I have vented sufficiently.

p.s I thought Adam Johnson looked great, and maybe it's just me, but why don't we play him on the left when he clearly has no right foot!

I agree - Barry looked as though he was wandering around aimlessly and his passing was dreadful.

I am a Liverpool fan but struggle to understand Glen Johnson - ok attacking, a flippin' liability in defence. He leaves gaps everywhere but who else is there?

I think Fabio should go now before the Welsh game and give us a chance to find that elusive English manager.

Steve Bruce?
Harry Redknapp?
Roy Hodgson?

I'm not convinced by either of those for England Manager (though given a choice I would go for HR or RH rather than SB). I thought the point of keeping a consistent coaching staff for the national squad was that we could promote from within. Maybe psycho should be promoted from under 21's manager to the full squad. He knows all the young prospects coming through, has had experience of the national set up, is English, has done a good job with the Under 21's, no one is ever going to question his passion and if he can't motivate the players then no one can.

I wouldn't argue with him 😯

Sorry, not been around for a while, still no broadband in my new house!

Yeah I'd agree with that, Psycho would make a great England manager. Maybe not quite yet, but after Fabio's contract ends I hope they give him a go.

They'll never have Harry Redknapp cos he's waaaaaay too dodgy.

I like Steve Bruce, but I just don't see him as England manager, or Hodgson for that matter. I dunno why, but if Hodgson was England manager I get the impression that the press would eat him alive.

I disagree - think that Stuart Pearce needs to prove himself at club level to give him some credibility with the Premier League managers.

We will end up with another duffer!!

Sam Amardyce - and he will ask El Haj-Diouf to become English!!!

Emigration..................
