I have watched this weeks ups and downs at Old Trafford with a mixture of enjoyment, anger and bemusement. Was Rooney really leaving or was it all about bluff and double bluff to get a massive wage rise in his contract negotiations ?
I think the latter but then I don't have a great opinion of football players loyalty to the clubs they play for.
Though I loved the Ian Holloway rant. We need more Ian Holloways in football these days.
I loved the bit about buying a house and the house toddling off - classic the man is a comedy genius.
Holloway for the England managers job !!! you know it makes sense. No matter how bad the team play, the post match interviews are gonna be brilliant.
I think Holloway is great as well Babel.
As for Rooney - I think it was all posturing. Contract negotiations and all that. Which is a shame as Manure would be screwed without Rooney.
I think Ian Holloway is always going to be one of those managers that will be successful but no major club will take the gamble and it is a shame.
Look at Neil Warnock!!
As for Rooney - total farce!! Let's hope the fans don't turn on him - although no doubt he will have a book out soon (written in bright red crayon!)
I enjoy Man U; they are fun ...usually. But, much as my kids love him, I think Rooney is an idiot. Someone has given a child a massive amount of talent and a massive amount of money and he doesn't know what to do with it. I think he will always have flashes of brilliance, but I doubt he will ever become the great footballer he could be. Shame, but he won't be the first.
Who know what has gone on this last week. Man U seem to be a bit in decline at the moment. Maybe this will force their hand to get a couple of superstars in. Maybe it will push them over the financial precipice and they'll do a 'pool.
