Hi there
Just signed up and had a quick scan so please excuse me if i have missed them but not seen many rugby related posts and was wondering if there were any rugby fans on here.
Also does anyone know what age kids can start playing rugby. Thinking about seeing if my 5 year old daughter would like to play rugby.
Doug
Hi There,
and Welcome,
I'm not much of a rugby fan but I think that they start playing properly at 6 it's non contact tag rugby where they wear a belt with velcro tags on it.
My step son plays and in in his second year, he loves it and gives him chance to get involved in team sport.
I have heard of rugby being played by yunger though but you would have to check on that.
Where do you live
Hi there
Love rugby - used to play and now watch avidly.
Kids can play at about 6 or 7, it is tag rugby so no tackling and it is great fun to watch - loads of little uns chasing the ball!!!
Most youngsters want to play football as all their friends play and they tend to play rugby seriously at secondary school
The great thing is they learn to respect the referee and other players
