Hi all
Anyone planning to apply for tickets?
We are looking to try for several events like Badminton, Fencing, Hockey, Swimming, Cycling but cant believe the prices - as much as £400 to see the diving!!!
You need to register with the site at http://www.tickets.london2012.com/ and all the details are there. This is a once in a lifetime chance for your kids to see the Olympic in the UK - I am going to try to see as much as possible.
Never taken much interest in the olympics, but did see a cycling event on TV at olympics on 2004 - called something like Mnahattan or some other US city, and it was totally mad.
Like watching some of the winter olympics though, curling, bobsleigh, luge etc.
Hi
We've registered too but have yet to decide which events to try for although the cycling would be fantastic to watch in that lovely new velodrome, but not at those prices!
I think the best option is to register as a volunteer. I did this about 3 years ago but I must confess to not having heard much since! However, I hear they are still after some. It could be that you get stuck doing the car park at the archery (!!) but it could mean you get into the stadium on the final day of the athletics for free!!
No thanks
I went to the Commonwealth Games in Manchester and the Volunteers were all real "jobsworths!" and did nothing to help us.
They got free tickets though! Plus, they were probably from Manchester!!
Good point!!
Going to take my chance in the ballot and hope to get a few events to choose from
