As someone who gets to view TV series straight from the States before they are on over here (Don't ask), I thought I would give a run down of what new in the new American schedule:
Ringer: Stars Michelle Gellar (Buffy) as a young woman on the run from the mob. She poses as her wealthy twin sister to try and evade them, but soon discovers that her sister has a price on her head as well.
Can seem a little contrived regarding her sister committing suicide. However that aside is good fun and an interesting story.
Prime Suspect This is apparently a re-imagining of the British series. However I would put the original out of your mind. The sexism angle is still a feature of the series, however rather than the series being one sweeping arc featuring one crime, the US version is episodic with each crime being solved within an hour long show. More gritty than CSI, Blue Bloods and other police procedural drama's - its not ground breaking. Entertaining but not earth shattering.
Charlie's Angels yup, dusted down and remade. Premiss remains the same - rich faceless dude runs a detective agency, hires attractive females (Angels) and sends them into danger each week to solve crimes. Fluffy enjoyable nonsense. Wouldn't go out of your way to watch this, but if there is nothing else on then.........
