so anyway - looks like they have agreed a fee for Carroll but, does he want to go? I think he has watched the likes of henderson and Downing fall back into favour this season and hopes for the same for himself. I must admit, with the uncertainty around Luis it does seem a bit of a gamble on Brendan's part to let him go. When fit this season he has been great...

I have always said that Andy Carroll will always give them an extra option but what do I know

Liverpool need another striker - I would go for David Villa or Benteke from Villa

Can't see you getting either Villa or Benteke.

It looks like you are about to sign Iago Aspas as your new striker (though Luis Suárez appears to be a summer target for Real Madrid and seems to have welcomed the link in the press).

Kolo Toure is a good signing. Solid defender looking for a new start and he's free.

What postitions do you need to focus on signing players this summer ?

We need to stop "investing in the future" and buy some players who will have an immediate impact

I think we need another defender, a goalie (Reina may leave), and attacking options

well, we have another goalie now - what will happen with Suarez? I think it will be Real in the end. It's a poor show isn't it?

He will go to Real Madrid and we need to use the money to but some established talent - hardly heard of anyone we have bought so far and Rodgers needs to perform this year

It was a good start to the season Saturday wasn't it? Should have had more than a 1 goal cushion by the time of Mignolet's heroics though - what a debut!

3 points is a good start and bear in mind that is the sort of game we have drawn in the past. Worried that we are not going to score enough goals and we need to seriously improve our goals to shots ratio

And the good start continued! A friend of mine who supports Newcastle said to me the other day they thought we were going to win the league - I don't think so! But top 4 looks doable at the moment. That would be nothing short of a massive triumph. I am fully behind Brendan now - I think he is the right man to take it forward.

Swansea away is a tricky game though. Predictions for monday? I'm going for 2-1 to Liverpool late on
