Sad to see Dalglish go but it had to happen - a disappointing season on many fronts.
Brendan Rodgers could be an inspired choice - he sets his teams up to play football in a positive attractive manner and I wish him the very best for the job
Apparently one of the players said they wanted Rafa to return - my suggestion to him is get the cv ready son your time is up!!!
I agree - Swansea played some lovely football this season...so Rogers is gone...Norwich played some great stuff...so Lambert gone to Villa...seems these clubs can't win! Play badly, go down, play well, lose the boss.
And that my friend is how the smaller clubs survive financially - I hope they both find a good manager as they have been a very welcome addition to the Premier League
However they could both be in trouble
Brendan Rogers has got nothing to lose. A bit like Roy Hodgson. PLay badly and, well everyone expected it, play well and suddenly it was a genius appointment. I think Rogers will do okay as long as he's given at least 3 years to rebuild. And they need to get better every year.
On another note, losing Dirk Kuyt was a bummer. You know someones not happy when they choose to leave for Fenerbace!!
Yeah I agree - Kuyt was a great player for Liverpool but overlooked by Dalglish
Wonder who will be next
I don't know whose leaving but it seems Joe Cole is returning. Its seems LFC have lost a bit of their 'big club clout'!
So Brendan has made his first purchase - lets hope Barini can be as great as some of Rodgers purchases while at Swansea
Looks like Andy Carroll is on his way out and at a massive loss - shame as I think he could be a great player - but Liverpool will never play in a style to suit him
Terrible decision by Rodgers. However it might not be true as i havent heard him say anything publicly. He has to give him a go. He's hard to defend against at least.
I actually think he should go - he was a poor buy and we cannot accommodate him - I just hope we can get back some of the £35million
Well one game in and it appears that Brendan has had a very big introduction to the pressure of being the manager of Liverpool
Apparently he lost his first game in charge of Swansea also
He definitely needs to buy a centre back or two especially as one of them maybe suspended if they keep getting sent off!
One game in - third from bottom - relagation spot
Panic - what panic!!!
So now in a relegation position and the worst start to a season for many many years, no forwards apart from Suarez (who apparently needs 10 shots for every goal), Barini (unproven) and possibly my mother (as he has no-one else)
We so far have been stuffed by West Brom, threw away 2 points against Man City and were outplayed by flippin' Arsenal
Where is the silver lining???
