Haven't asked them yet, but on past and present experience, any time spent together and with their friends is good (Last year, and this year coming - when we go on holiday to Dorset, we take one of my daughter's friends with her so she's not bored at any time).

Popular activities are going to the beach (or locally, to Bedford Marina) and going shopping. Going to add to that this year with Geocaching (as suggested in the blogs) - I think that will add lots of excitement and resurrect an old GPS unit I have lying around.

Days out - lots of free things out there such as museums.

We also joined English Heritage and National Trust so need to make the most of them.

The beach is also worth a visit and if the boys can do some surfing then thats even better.

Another thought is check your local leisure centre they often have special deals during the holidays.
