Hate to say it as i've always quite liked Liverpool but there seems to be something very wrong,I watched the Europa league game last week and it just wasn't what you excpect from Liverpool,I feel that this Pompey game is massive for them as fourth spot is starting to run away.

Hi

I do think that football is a harsh game - Liverpool fans like myself calling for the Manager's head because he is struggling to finish in the top four when in reality they should be challenging for the title.

Spare a thought for Phil Brown of Hull who was always going to be sacked this season - a club fighting well over their weight but due to the greedy nature of the game is sacrificed!! the guy has done an incredible job for the club, and re-energised the city. Imagine if that happened in the real world...

Well apart from losing to Man-u which is no disgrace Liverpool have started to get back on track, the Lille game last week was more like the Liverpool of old and Torres looks like he's going to score a bucketload beetween now and the end of the season-if he can resist kicking penalty spots off like yesterday.. 😆

How can you say losing to Man U is not a disgrace!!!

It just shows the gulf between the two teams and if I was being honest how many Liverpool players would get into the United team?

Reina - yes
Torres - yes

but even Gerard would struggle this season

what about Babel - he would not be certain of a start for Luton let alone Liverpool

Yet another season of under-achieving!! At least I can look forward to the World Cup or Wimbledon

Latest news is that Juventus have offered Benitez a four year deal worth £16million and a £70m transfer fund to lure him away from Anfield. It must seem an attractive proposition especially as the club are debt-free and on schedule to move into a new stadium next year after being given land to build on.

Hi

Many people say that Liverpool can't afford to sack Benitez - my view is they can't afford to keep him. Not being in the Champions League will cost the club millions and if they lose Gerard and Torres then that will be a disaster. They need to win something next season or they run the risk of falling so far behind the others that mid table could be reality.

Benitez will leave and I think he should be sacked immediately after the last game in order for the new manager to get rid of the rubbish players and buy some quality

The latest rumour is Roy Hodgson and I think that could be a good decision - a no-nonsense Manager!! I suppose Jose would be the obvious choice but he is going to Real Madrid if he leaves Inter. It also made me laugh that Gerald Houlier is fourth favourite to get the job!!

well rafa has gone and we await news on the new Manager. loads of rumours, loads of pool fans worried about next season.........but on the bright side at least your away kit won't be pink.

thought that might put a smile on the Liverpool fans faces. Unlucky Everton.

I cant see Martin O'Neill going to Anfield - I think he has his sights on Old Trafford.

Roy Hodgson is fast becoming the favourite - but then I read that Sven was interested!! Lock up your daughters or secretaries!!

I would love to see Dalglish return but I dont think he will put his reputation on the line. Whoever comes in is in for a torrid time with no money and the possible exits of Gerard (who will go to Man City if he has any sense) and Torres.

At least we still have David Ngog!!

As for the shirt - I would wear a bikini if I thought it would help win the Premier League!!!

Kenny Dalglish has put himself forward for the Liverpool manager's job. He believes he is the man to revive the team but they are still seeking permission to meet Fulham's Roy Hodgson by the end of the week.
