Hi all,
I don't know if you already know this, but you can save an average of 39% if you buy train tickets in advance which can come in handy for family days out. 😛
I've actually written a couple of articles about Top Five Family Days out in London and Manchester, with all the money saving tips for rail travel, including group deals and rail cards. Hope this helps! Especially now when credit is crunching ... For the London one, visit http://www.home.thetrainline.com/daysout/london.shtml and for the Manchester one http://www.home.thetrainline.com/daysout/manchester.shtml
Cheers
