So there was a lot of rubbish on TV this Christmas however for me there were some great programs including

The Royle Family - still brilliantly written
Come Fly with us - brilliant from the writers of Little Britain

If you didn't see them catch them on the i-player!

What did you watch?

Tried Come Fly with me, but neither of us found it particularly funny (strange, as we both liked Little Britain). Otherwise, found very little on so far worth watching, so we've been catching up on everything we have recorded and doing non TV stuff.

Recorded The Royle Family but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Watched Edward Scissorhands for the first time (!) and that sums up my holiday viewing.

Played lots of games with family and friends including The Logo Game, a great game for all ages, Absolute Balderdash and for children the Yes/No game.

We played the logo game - great fun and I thought my kids watched too much tv!!! I think I got the most answers right!

We spent a whole afternoon playing the new monopoly (with credit cards!!) it was great fun - especially as I won!!!

I haven't heard about the new monopoly - might have to look into it for next Christmas!

I thought TV this Christmas was absolute drivel. Apart from Dr Who, I don't think we made an effort to watch anything.

Drank beer and watched Gavin & Stacey DVDs ...again
Went to the movies to see Potter (my oldest boy had just got far enough through book 7)
Played board games and quizzes
Managed to scrape an 8-8 draw ...dad's against kids (under 8's) on New Years day (Fergy, Fergy, sign me up)
Played on the Wii fat board
Oh and watched Tarantino's 'Inglorious' - got mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it
...and generally avoided the TV

Since Xmas have enjoyed:
Above Suspicion
Silent Witness
...more of the same please !!!
