Come on then what is your favourite Olympics moment

There are loads of them and I could go on forever but I have to say my favourite was staying up beyond midnight to cheer Steve Redgrave home for his 5th gold medal

I bet you watched too?

I don't generally have any interest in the olympics, with the exception of the winter olympics - quite enjoy the curling and the skeleton bob. The only thing I'll watch this year, if it's still an event, is the Madison event in cycling - completely mad to follow.

I liked it when Derek Redmond pulled his hamstring and his dad ran onto the track and they ran around together.

Watching over 300 people in a small west yorkshire town (Batley) of many cultural backgrounds line the streets at 9AM to enthusiastically greet the torch as it swept through. The amazing journey it takes from Athens and its non-political ceremonial symbolism left a mark as it disappeared from view.
I have no interest in the olympics and I only happened accross this last weeek on my way to work but I got a lump in my throat and I would recommend anyone who has the opportunity to go and cheer its progress.

Went to see the torch in Cambridge - fantastic and well worth the waiting and queueing!

Has anyone else seen it?

According to BBC3 the most amazing olympic moment was when Muhummad Ali lit the flame in Atlanta in 1996 - Sir Steve Redgrave winning his 5th gold was only 2nd!!

Not sure I agree

I have to say that although I wasn't into the whole thing I did catch the men's diving final and that was amazing, the skill set was very impressive.

I don't think I have sat in front of the tv cheering at our athletes more than I have done so in the past three weeks

Loved watching it

Thought that the BBC coverage was incredible

I wonder how the Paralympics will compare. I think Channel 4 are covering it (which says a lot!) but I think a lot of tickets have been sold.
