Ok so Arsenal have signed Podolski - which in my humble opinion is a great starting point.
Rumours are abound that Giroud will be signing as well - happy with that.
My wishlist now is :
New contracts signed by RVP, Theo & Song
DM - M'Villa or Javi Martinez please.
Decent second Keeper to challenge Szczesny and keep him on his toes.
Mange to sell Dennilson, Arshavin, Bendtner, Djourou, Squillaci, Park, Chamakh, Fabianski, Mannone, Diaby and Vela. (which is a scary long list of unless cash drains on our resources)
Let's see where we are come August. :woohoo:
I think that you couldn't sell Bentner at the local car boot sale!! Mind you have scored some goals at the Euros
But advertising on his pants!! That is desperate!
Ok so after early season optimism, the wheels have come off a little now. Two loses on the bounce and a rather lucky win against the bottom side in the league.
Not too worried about the Capital One Cup (or whatever it's called) midweek - whatever happens happens but have concerns about our trip to Manure on Sat. Need to pull our fingers out of our bottom or we could get seriously spanked. ;;)
Don't start moaning about how Arsenal are performing - I for one am not going to give you any sympathy
Think that Arsenal are a great side and going through what every team (including Chelski and Manure) will go through at some point this season
You are still in the top 6 so stop whining!!
Time to re-open this as i have spent the whole f this season being miserable about Liverpool and I wanted to cheer myself up
Anyway what is going on with Arsene Wenger - there is a lot of fans that have run out of patience and even ex players are now saying he should step down or be sacked.
The FA Cup was a disaster and this will be the 8th season with no trophy
And clearly he doesn't help himself
I could bore you all with a essay on how Wenger has lost the plot - but I will not inflict that on the community.
Suffice to say whatever happens he won't get sacked and as he is the second best paid manager in the league, he won't resign.
And when he comes out with statements like we can still come second, I don't think he realises how much he annoys the fans.
Gooner
Well after this weekend I think that Arsenal will try to find him some role "upstairs" to enable them to get a new manager - but I don't know who that would be.
I think Wenger will refuse it though as he is a stubborn and proud man!
There a lot of good managers around who are achieving great things on small budgets - Moyes, Laudrup, Klopp, Hyypiä and even Arsenal Legend Bergkamp ([censored] manager at Ajax).
Imagine what they could do with the money we have in our bank accounts (£153m)
Moving Wenger 'upstairs' would not be a good move, when the change happens it needs to be a clean break.
Do you really think Moyes would go there?
Do you not want Redknapp or even Rafa?!!!
Do you not want Redknapp or even Rafa
I'd rather keep Wenger if they were our only options.
From the sounds of it, if Everton miss out on Champions League Moyes is going to take a year out of management.
Anyway as I have already said Wenger has a contract till 2014, the board won't sack him and he won't resign. We are stuck with him until at least the end of his contract.
Gooner
Unless they decide to pay him off and he accepts
But is that likely?
