Hope the players are well rested (apart from those on international duty) and looking forward to playing Man utd this weekend
Need to believe we can win this one and be the only top four team to take some points off them
Fun and games ahead then, they're always tasty affairs them games, so will be interesting to see how it all turns out, though you can bet Rooney will be eager to prove himself after his petulance against Montenegro. Though Liverpool starting Gerrard (If they do) could be a risk in such a high profile game.
Hi Supes,
What do you think about the pool wanting to negotiate their overseas viewing rights themselves rather than as it is currently with the rights to the whole prem being sold ?

With only Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool being the most wanted teams - do you think this would lead to a bigger gap between the haves and have nots ?
Gooner
There's no two ways about it, just look at Spain with Barca and Real Madrid, they are by far and away the biggest teams, even with a rich sheikh Malaga are still way behind, even Ateltico & Villarreal are far behind them given the luxury of Barca & Real. I believe Italy is the same with the Milan clubs and the Old Lady Juventus.
I just think it's more hassle than it's worth. All the teams are entitled to equal TV time, so they should all get an equal share. My bet is the Anfield higher ups won't be moaning if they were in Europe getting more than enough income.
Not a bad result against Man U - little disappointed we didnt get 3 points but at least we didnt lose!
Had enough chances to win though and I hope that has given the team the belief that we can compete at this level.
Just hope we don't do our usual and go and lose to Norwich!!
I think Liverpool, although much improved from last season will still struggle to get in the top 4 (as much as I'd like them to!).
What teams do you think will be the top 4 at the end of the season? In order. Here's my guess
1. Man Utd
2. Man City
3. Chelsea
4. Tottenham
okay, lets go for the top 6!
5. Liverpool
6. Arsenal
You guys go for it!
1: Man Utd
2: Man City
3: Chelsea
4: Liverpool
I think the Scousers will beat Spurs to fourth place, well just about anyway, and the top 3 could easily interlink, but it'll be something like that methinks.
Here you go
1. Man City
2. Man Utd
3. Liverpool
4. Chelsea
Call it blinded optimism
Whilst Liverpool laboured to a poor result at home to Norwich - I still ended the weekend with a big smile on my face.
Can't think why? Perhaps my Man City friends could remind me!!!
What a player Luis Suarez is turning out to be - could he be player of the year?
Another 3 points and this time without the services of Gerard (injured again!) and Carragher - Suarez was immense and Carroll scored which will help his confidence.
Not sure what game Roy Hodgson was watching as it was a definite penalty well spotted assistant referee!!
So far we have played 2 of the promoted team and so far we have 2 points - last season this let us down as we struggled against them
We must get better
