[Solved] Social services

Hi my child had gone into school saying that the stepdad has hit him and social services have got involved... They say my child has dropped it now and I have no arguments with this but now they are investigating me... I think this is unfair as I have never had a complaint made about me so what rights do they have to do this to me, do I have to cooperate or will they stop me seeing my children if I don't thanks in advance

I think they'd have to have good cause to stop you seeing your children, but realistically, I'd cooperate with them simply to get it sorted and out of the way as soon as possible. You also never know when you might need them (if there's a repeat allegation against the step dad) so it's best to keep them on your side.
