[Solved] So many types of baby pushchairs- What do I choose?

I'm looking at some of my options for baby pushchairs and have found it to be somewhat confusing/ frustrating to work out which one I am best to get.. Does anyone have some of their own experiences with a particular model that is worth mentioning for the money? 🙁

Thanks all.

Hi Des,

It's something you're not alone in as I know of a number of people who've found it difficult to know which baby pushchairs are going to be the best options for each individual..

I recommend you check out the review site at Baby Pushchairs Reviewed to get some good info on choosing a baby pushchair which will be suitable.

I hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Des

From my experience it boils down to 3 things in choosing pushchair.
1) forward or rear facing
2) size of pushchair in relation to car boot / taking on bus
3) price

we have had 2 kids, the first would never stay in the pushchair, waste of having it. The second travelled in it all the time.
We got a McClaren and were very happy with it, as it is very easy to push and quite compact.

First, work out where you're going to use it. Most 'proper' prams/pushchairs are too big for the bus. Only a Mclaren style buggy will do.

We ended up with two: a buggy and a Pramette (started as pram, converted to push-chair). The buggy's for the bus but we didn't use it when we took the car because in the buggy, she was forced to sit back - it's almost reclining, whereas in the pramette (in buggy mode) she could sit upright (still strapped in) and look around. She was far more alive in the pramette than the buggy. Nice thing about the pramette is that it still collapses quite small so you can shove it in the boot.
