So "feminism has neutered men and deprived them of their noble, protective role in society" :geek: Discuss! :ugeek:

Very true - but surely feminism only came about because we neglected that right in the first place...maybe if we activley take up that role again feminists will step back and let us do it right??

Feminism purly came about coz women wanted rights. But where the Victorian and Edward men of the time nelglecting their noble role in society? On one hand the men at that point of our social history were more "noble" than ever before - the British stiff upper lip, the lack of emotion, the "for king and country" mantra, the everymans home is his castle, the building of the bristish empire...noble..noble noble. But on another ie the home front, they were not. They neglected the call to be fathers, they distanced themselves from family and society becoming fake and false. Void of passion, emotion and sexual pleasure (well in the home anyway) they herolded the change that were the forunners of social breakdown forever.

Up to then men were the building block of societys rules and interaction. But these men became social voids. Women had an opportunty to speak, rise up and be noticed, they championed social change and family values whilst the men lived out un-noble lives in clubs and brothals. Men became 2 faced - respectful at home and in society but immoral in their private clubs. Fathering as it was know crumbled. Masculinity started to crumble too.

Can we ever catch up?

Well feminism! men will catch up although we have not mastered the art like women do. Society needs to stop being one sided in looking at issues from a feminist standpoint. We need global advocation of masculinity, what is wrong in looking at the world from a mans stand point.Men need to wake up as well and be honest with themselves that it is not working and it's affecting us.
