So here I was, hanging out in the forum and it kicked me out. As I logged back in, hey presto, it was all new!!
I like it. What do you guys think?? Be honest (I don't care, I didn't do it!)
Lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it and the page load speed is phenomenal....
I've never knew there was so much content on the site - think I've look at most of it - in about 1min22 seconds....
I reckon we should see who can view 100 pages of DAD content the fastest 😉
1 min 22 seconds to view most of the content - are you saying my posts are boring!!!!
Dadtalk has just merged with Dad Info - another dad website that I co-founded and edited. Dad Info brings a lot of new articles into the fold. I've just joined the Dadtalk forum and I'd love to hear about which are your favourite 🙂
Welcome to the forum but you don't get off that lightly
Tell us about yourself - you must be a dad so how many, how old are they?
Tell us about founding the websites, why did you do it and what have you learned?
Hi, yes - I am a dad - it's my son's 12th birthday today, and I have another son who is 19, half Zulu and lives in South Africa - long story! I think the big lessons I learnt in building Dad Info was the need for high quality, reliable information written for men by people with a strong understanding of fathers and their experiences. - decent parenting information is almost always written from the mother's perspective, so even if the writer tries hard, it's easy to place things in a maternal template. Fathers come to parenting from a different place personally, culturally and historically - there are different issues at stake, and providing that perspective can be invaluable.
Lots of other interesting-but-a-bit-boring lessons learnt about search optimisation, content production and editing, social media and technology, but I'll not bore you with that!
Well you are very welcome to the site and well done for coming up with the site - there are a lot of dads on the forum many who post from time to time and join in on a range of topics and some who look for advice.
I will have a look at the dad info stuff and let you know what I think
