[Solved] 'My ex dropped off the wrong baby, now I want to change our custody agreement'

A mum has been left fuming after her ex dropped off the wrong baby.

The woman had been in the middle of a work call when her former partner dropped off her 17-month-old son at her house.

And it was only when the baby started crying 10 minutes later that the mum made the shocking discovery - this wasn't her baby.

She said: "I immediately noticed that this was not my son, as my son has blue eyes, and this baby had green eyes.

"Taking off the baby's hat also showed dark blond hair, and not my son's light brown hair.

"I immediately called Sean, in full panic mode, telling him to bring me the correct child right this second."

She explained that her ex Sean also has another son with a woman who she called Lydia, who is only six weeks younger than her child, so he'd accidentally confused the two as they lay sleeping in their car chairs after a day trip out.

Mum hailed a 'hero' for genius place she hides her chocolate stash from her kids
For the first year of the babies lives, their respective mums had full custody and their dad visited on a regular basis.

But after they turned one, Sean got 50/50 custody.

The mum added: "This means Sean has both boys at the same time.

"He pushed for this, as he wanted a week on/week off from looking after kids. He also requested this so his sons could bond, but his primary motive was getting time off."

This arrangement had only been in place for around for five months when he made the mistake.

When she called Sean telling him to return her baby to her, he was only 10 minutes away on route to Lydia's.

"Jesus f***ing Christ it was the worst 10 minutes of my life but Sean came back smiling, carrying my son, and says in the most condescending tone of voice โ€˜see? He's fine. No harm doneโ€™.

"I told him that we are fixing this custody agreement. He is not having both boys alone again. He couldn't tell his own sons apart, so the solution here is for him to not be in a position to confuse them.

"I want to know that I have my child, not Lydia's. I do not feel that this is a lot to ask for. I trusted that Sean, as a father, knew the difference between his children, which he clearly does not."

But Sean thinks she's being "unreasonable".

He tried to argue that it's an easy mistake to make, as he recalled the times that his parents' brought home the wrong baby from nursery with out a half sibling to excuse it.

"He also says that I'll be causing undue harm to all three guys in this situation, as the kids won't get to bond with their half brother.

"Sean won't get any time to himself if he has Lydia's son on even weeks and mine on odds, meaning that he'll be more exhausted and it will decrease his income as he won't be able to work overtime (which he currently does in his weeks without the boys).

so aside from delivering the wrong baby, while he was doing so, presumably the other baby was left unattended in the car ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
